About Me
Pictures of my kitties to come!!! Hi! My name is Pashe’ Sykes, the sole proprietor of Posh Pet Services. I have chosen this profession for the absolute love of animals. Since I was a very small child, I have taken care of stray, hurt, or unloved animals. I had the luxury of living out in the country with lots of land and parents who loved animals as well. As I got older and went away to college this need did not stop…along the way I have fostered, saved, and rescued over 45 animals. I currently have reached my husband’s limit of household pets, my babies. We have four cats: Baby, an eight year old orange tabby I rescued; Gizmo, a six year old Himalayan flame point I saved from a pet store (okay so he was way too cute not to get); Kitches, a five year old brown tabby, I saved from a parking lot; and Cheyenne, a five year old Siamese-Himalayan mix I rescued. We have two dogs: Sabrina, a four year old Golden Retriever mix I saved from an oncoming car on a busy road and Gigi, a two year old Bison Frise-Poodle mix I rescued.
Now that I am married and have a home of my own, which is not in the country with acres of land, I need to take care of animals in a different way. This is when pet sitting came into my mind! I already help many people, family and friends included, with their four-legged family members…why not everyone who needs me???
I currently volunteer at the McKinney, Texas SPCA and am an active member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters. I also enjoy being involved in local organizations and donate my time and goods regularly.
I know many of you would like educational and work information about me, so here you go. I have a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Texas Tech University majoring in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Personal Financial Planning. I achieved a Master’s of Science degree also from Texas Tech University majoring in Family and Consumer Science Education with a Teacher’s Certification. Since then I have taught in Garland ISD and Frisco ISD as a Family and Consumer Science Teacher. Currently I am teaching a middle school Sunday school class at my local Methodist church.
